Join Team Stedman for Bike MS: Ride the Rhode 2015

Help out a great cause and log some miles too

It’s that magical time of year when the air gets crisp, the freezing winds whistle through your helmet vents, your cycling tights are unpacked for the months ahead AND the best part … Registration opens for Bike MS: Ride the Rhode 2015.

Click here to join the team!

This year’s MS150 ride begins and ends in our own backyard at the Narragansett Pier School. How lucky can we get! If you haven’t already ridden on all the roads in Little Rhody, here’s your chance to ride some of the finest and most scenic in our beautiful state! Overnight accommodations are at URI (if you prefer to stay with the group).   And, as always, each rider must raise at least $300.

Sign up to join Team Stedman for the MS Bike Ride in June 2015. And, if you register BEFORE January 2, 2015, you will save $25 in fees by using the code ‘Holiday25’ and score some sweet Stedman gear as well!

Wanderlust: Specialized Diverge

Specialized Diverge Comp Smartweld

Yet another category of bike? No, simply a statement of dominance over all paths travelled. Pavement, backroads, gravel, and any shortcuts in between, the cyclocross sized tires, thru axles, and disc brake stopping power of the Diverge translate to control in all conditions.

All about the wheels

32c tire casings, disc hubs, and stout rims enable the Diverge to remain in comfort and control over the harshest road conditions. The stock Roubaix 30/32 tires handle all surfaces from tarmac to gravel. With plenty of clearance, the Diverge can explore all winter with a pair of studded cross tires. Come summer, throw on some 23c slicks and chase Strava segments on the streets.

All roads for all budgets

With seven models to choose from, there’s a Diverge for any traveller.

Specialized Diverge

Diverge A1 features an A1 aluminum frame and FACT carbon fork.

Tektro mechanical disc brakes and Shimano Claris 8-speed drivetrain give you a wide gear range and plenty of all-weather braking. The frame and fork are equipped with standard quick releases.

The E5 aluminum frame with D’Aluisio Smartweld technology shares the shape of the carbon Diverge with a shoulder friendly top tube for portaging over unrideable obstacles. The sturdy AXIS 3.0 disc wheels mount with thru axles for unyielding steering precision and power transfer. Hydraulic disc brakes and Shimano 11-speed drivetrain complete this versatile rig.
