Wanderlust: Specialized Diverge

Specialized Diverge Comp Smartweld

Yet another category of bike? No, simply a statement of dominance over all paths travelled. Pavement, backroads, gravel, and any shortcuts in between, the cyclocross sized tires, thru axles, and disc brake stopping power of the Diverge translate to control in all conditions.

All about the wheels

32c tire casings, disc hubs, and stout rims enable the Diverge to remain in comfort and control over the harshest road conditions. The stock Roubaix 30/32 tires handle all surfaces from tarmac to gravel. With plenty of clearance, the Diverge can explore all winter with a pair of studded cross tires. Come summer, throw on some 23c slicks and chase Strava segments on the streets.

All roads for all budgets

With seven models to choose from, there’s a Diverge for any traveller.

Specialized Diverge

Diverge A1 features an A1 aluminum frame and FACT carbon fork.

Tektro mechanical disc brakes and Shimano Claris 8-speed drivetrain give you a wide gear range and plenty of all-weather braking. The frame and fork are equipped with standard quick releases.

The E5 aluminum frame with D’Aluisio Smartweld technology shares the shape of the carbon Diverge with a shoulder friendly top tube for portaging over unrideable obstacles. The sturdy AXIS 3.0 disc wheels mount with thru axles for unyielding steering precision and power transfer. Hydraulic disc brakes and Shimano 11-speed drivetrain complete this versatile rig.

Diverge Carbon

For the ultimate back road explorer turn to the Diverge Carbon. FACT 10r frame and fork strike the perfect harmony of vibration muting, power transfer, and feather weight. Thru axles, hydraulic disc brakes, and Shimano 11-speed shifting are found on all three carbon models.

Dream Bike: Specialized Fatboy SL

Specialized Fatboy SL

While “Fatboy SL” may seem paradoxical, this limited production model holds true to its name. With 5″ tires and a scant 24 pound weight, this ultimate fat bike from Specialized is ready to rip through all four seasons and any terrain you steer it into.

HED Big Deal rim

Delivered stock with HED carbon tubeless wheels, it rolls like a race bike. The frame is made especially for this model with weight saving anodization instead of paint and a diet sized 27.2 seat tube. Carbon adorns every flank of this steed: fork, bars, rims, cranks, seatpost…This fattie was built to roll through fresh pow at Olympic speeds.
