Our Saturday morning road rides continue tomorrow morning, December 10th. We’ll be leaving the shop at 7am and heading to Hope Valley, specifically Shannock Hill, and will return by 9am. Figure on a distance of about 30 miles. All are welcome, just show up!
If you’re planning to hit the trails in the coming days and weeks be sure to wear plenty of orange. Shotgun season runs December 3-December 18 and December 26-January 2. While many riders will avoid Big River, Arcadia and Burlingame during this time, those who continue to ride must wear at least 500 square inches of orange (a typical helmet cover is ~200 square inches). Vests, jackets, etc. are an easy way to comply with this law.
Also of note: there is no hunting in Lincoln Woods, or on Sundays in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Visit www.rinemba.org for other helpful tips and information.
Tomorrow’s Saturday morning shop road ride will not take place as a result of the cyclocross race at Goddard Park in Warwick. Many of us will be helping set up the course, we’d suggest to make a trip up to check it out! Locals and pros will be present and the weather looks to be great, with the first riders going off at 8am. Hope to catch you there.
