RECALLED: Light and Motion Urban 180, 300 & 500 models

Light and Motion has issued a recall on its Urban 180, 300 & 500 models. A rare firmware glitch has been reported that causes the light to suddenly shut off without warning. The good news is that L&M will not only replace your light free of charge but also upgrade you to the next model in the lineup. Follow the link below for the press release and return details.

Cold weather means extra caution when riding this time of year

Our Saturday morning road rides will continue as long as interest exists, and tomorrow is no exception. The Point Loop leaves the shop at 7am and will return around 9am, and all are welcome. Winter can bring some of the best riding weather of the year, but only when done safely and properly. Studded tires may slow you down but can save you from black ice in the twists. Rides along the coast can be safer than more inland routes because of the warmer temperatures there. Balaclavas, toe warmers, heavy gloves and baselayers can all make even the coldest days enjoyable. From advice to apparel, stop by or call for the most up-to-the-date information!

Saturday morning ride goes to Richmond and Exeter tomorrow, 1/7

Happy 2012! Our first group road ride of the New Year leaves the shop tomorrow morning at 7am and will go through Richmond, Exeter and Slocum before returning to the shop around 915-930am. The pace will be moderate through the gently rolling route, but riders of all levels are welcome. To be put on the weekly email list and receive details on weekend group rides simply email Jay (jay@westedman) or message us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/stedmansbikeshop).
