4/21 Shop Ride

Another fine weekend to come ride with friends, old and new! Two routes planned again this week. A 33 mile ride will take some folks out into Shannock village while a 25 mile option will cut through Kenyon before the two join up again on South County Trail.  As usual, we will have multiple groups at varying speeds. The front group (or two) are “drop” groups, while the 1 or 2 “casual” groups will make sure everyone gets back to the shop, right around 10am. The rear group leader will be announced prior to the ride.

Come out and have some fun!

Saturday shop rides roll each week at 8am. Helmet required. Bring water, tubes, pump, route map, etc.

For your info:

(Number of groups naturally depends on overall number of riders on a given week)

Front group tends to hold 24+ mph on flat roads

A second group typically forms rolling 20-22 on flat roads

A third group averages 18-20 on the flats.

Sweep/Short loop group will average about 16ish mph on flat roads.

4/14 Shop Ride

Looking like a beautiful day for a ride! Come join us as we peruse South Kingstown and Charlestown. Longer loop will be 32 miles long; leisurely route will be 26 miles.

Saturday rides roll from the shop each week at 8am (or very shortly thereafter). Helmets required. Bring water, tubes, pump, etc.

This is a great time for folks who have been considering giving the shop ride a try. Friendly groups all around. The ride starts together before naturally forming into smaller groups based upon pace.  We will also determine which folks would prefer the shorter ride prior to starting.

4/7 Shop Ride

Yep. It’s Paris – Roubaix this weekend and, out of respect, we’re going to give a potentially chilly, damp ride a go! (We promise no cobblestones).

Dress in your Flandrian best and come on out for the best two hours of the week.

One loop this Saturday; 29 miles up toward Wickford and back. The ride will start together and break up into smaller groups as numbers and preferred riding pace dictate. This week (and every week going forward), Sean guarantees no rider left behind!

Saturday rides roll out each week at 8am. As always, helmets required. Please bring water, tubes, pump, etc.
